I was running my abstract diskette report, and my computer seems to have frozen.

This report takes a long time to run. It has several files to go through and may seem to be frozen when it is actually searching through the files for all of the cases that need to be reported.

Why won't a case show up on my abstract report?

Check the ticket number and make sure it is correct. If it is correct, check the following:

Disposition date on the case

Court date that has passed

An execution/cost screen

Officer code

Ticket #

No date on the charge screen for abstract reporting

I am trying to run my suspension report and it stops printing and says "File error 22".

This usually means there is a problem with a ticket number. Using the first report that you printed, check the ticket numbers in the filing information screen to make sure they are correct.

I have a trooper ticket that is not picking up on my suspension/withdrawal report. What do I need to check?

On the Filing Information screen:

You must have a ticket number

You must have an officer code

On the defendant information screen:

A valid TN driver's license

On the charge screen:

Occurred date
Disposition date (withdrawal report only)
Disposition code (withdrawal report only)
No suspension date at the bottom of the screen

Execution Screen:

Unpaid execution (suspension report only)
Paid in full execution (withdrawal report only)
Must have either THP or DOS for the agency on the officers cost tax code and/or fine tax code

Control Files:

the charge code must have a DOS code
DOS code must have "Y" for report to DOS

When running traffic, I got an error 22. What causes this?

Usually there is something about a ticket number that causes this error. The first thing you want to do is write down the ticket number the process stopped on. This is not necessarily the ticket causing the problem, but it could be the one before or after the one causing the problem. The next thing is to scan the report and make sure the ticket numbers are the same lengths. Sometimes a county ticket will be picked up for some reason and stop this process. Also, a good idea is to go into the cases under Docket Handler and look at the filing screen. Make sure the ticket number is correct. The same ticket number being on two different cases can also cause the problem. If you call LGDPC customer support on this, we will probably have you fax the disposition report.

Can I do more than one traffic file each day?

You can do one suspension, one withdrawal and one disposition file each day (until the date is changed to the next day). The reason for this is when you create a traffic file, it labels that file by the user date you are currently on. This is an example of a suspension file run on 12/31: DSSP1231.001. If you do another file of the same type while you are on the same user date, it will copy over the previous file.
